Lady Eagles are now the regular season district champions after defeating Benton Academy 47-33

Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball team are now the District 3 AAA Champions after defeating Benton Academy 47-33 on Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles had a 26-24 lead by halftime with Tiara Sim leading the by hitting three 3-pointers along with Sophie Masterson who nailed one.

The second half also belonged to Sims who couldn’t be stopped as she ended the night with 32 points. Masterson put up seven points while Hannah Henderson grabbed 12 rebounds and two points. Anjel Walton had six points and seven rebounds.

The Lady Eagles(12-5,5-3) have now won eight straight games and will be the No.1 seed in the district tournament.
