Lady Eagles defeated Greenville Christian 54-50; boys come up short of a victory

Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball team picked up a 54-50 win over Greenville Christian on Thursday.
After trailing 12-11 in the first quarter, PCA quickly picked up the pace in the second quarter as Tiara Sims, Anjel Walton and Sophie Masterson all knocked down 3-pointers to take a 31-23 lead.
Coming out of halftime, Walton hit two more 3-pointers.
PCA maintained their lead with Sims leading the way with 27 points. Walton grabbed eight rebounds to go with her 18 points while Masterson had 10 rebounds and six points. Hannah Henderson scored two points and had nine rebounds. Marley Bufkin hit one free throw.
Boy’s Game:
PCA took a 60-48 loss as Lawson Selby led with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Ty Mack put up 12 points while Taylor LaBarre, Jase Jung and Noah Porter all scored five points. Chase Hearn ended the night with seven on the board.
PCA will travel to Deer Creek on Friday.
