St. Aloysius girl’s basketball team got their first win of the season on Friday against Park Place in a 45-21 win.

“I’m extremely proud of the teamwork they displayed on and off the court,” head coach Savannah Buck said.  “They were totally in sync and their hustle was out of this world. We’ve been working really hard and I’m excited to see that it’s showing on the court.”

The Lady Flashes had a slow start in the first quarter but quickly picked things up in the second where Falyn Lusby and Maddy McSherry both got to the basket on multiple occasions.

St. Aloysius continued to put up major points in the second half and shut down Park Place defensively as they never gave up their lead.

Lusby finished as the lead scorer with 18 points followed by McSherry who had 10. McKenzie Cole and Skylar Connelly scored three.

Leah Larsen, Emily Cook, Marissa Jabour, and Bree Butler all added two points as well.

The Lady Flashes will play again tonight against Washington School.
