Lady Flashes fell short in their district opener to Madison St. Joe with a 7-3 final
St. Aloysius took a 7-3 loss in their district opener to Madison St. Joe on Monday.
The game relied heavily on defense from the start as both teams remained scoreless until the third inning.
St. Joe managed to grab four runs in the third after a homerun as they went up 4-0. The Lady Flashes would get on the board in the fourth and sixth inning with both RBIs coming from Crawley Haller.
The Lady Bruins had profitable seventh inning by getting three more runs to push their lead to 7-2 before the Lady Flashes went to the plate.
After Kyleigh Cooper hit a double, Maddy McSherry got the final RBI of the night from a line drive as things ended with a 7-3 final.
Cooper and Abby Mikulski both led the Lady Flashes with two hits while McSherry, Haller, and Megan Theriot all had one hit. Theriot also hit a double.
Cooper struck out six on the night and allowed seven hits.
