St. Aloysius freshman girl’s basketball team pulled off a 24-12 win over Adams County Christian School on Friday.

The first quarter of play was slow on both sides with the Lady Flashes taking a 4-2 lead. Things really picked up shortly before halftime with Taryn Lusby making it to the basket multiple times which helped St. Al go up 11-7.

Megan Theriot led the Lady Flashes in points by hitting three 3-pointers to finish with nine. Lusby also came in clutch with eights points of her own, followed by Farrell Roberson who finished with four.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Lady Flashes were up 16-7 and held ACCS to zero points in the third quarter.

Gracie Griggs scored two points late in the game and Presley Bristler finished with one.

St. Al will hit the road on Tuesday to play Copiah Academy.
