Lady Flashes snatched a close win over WCCA on Wednesday

St. Aloysius softball team grabbed a close 3-2 victory on Wednesday night against Wilkinson County Christian Academy.
The low-scoring game remained close due to both teams struggling at the plate, but the Lady Flashes defense stepped up in the fifth inning to grab a big out which ended the game.
“We struggled with hitting tonight, but the girls got the job done when it counted the most and I’m very satisfied that they never gave up,” Flashes head coach Savannah Buck said.
A couple of hits in the first inning led to Kyleigh Cooper and Miracle Flowers driving in run scores for the Flashes. Abby Mikulski got the final run score in the the fourth inning.
Cooper led things at the rubber by only allowing two hits and striking out five batters, while also going 1 for 2 at the plate. Maddy McSherry also got a hit in the win.
The Lady Flashes will be back in action on Monday when they host Central Hinds.
