St. Aloysius took down Central Hinds 12-2 on Thursday night.

“I think after the loss on Tuesday we wanted to come back and fight and we did that and we got the bats going and it ended really good for us,” Maddy McSherry said.

Megan Theriot hit a double in the first inning but the score would remain tied at zero. Senior Lili Perniciaro hit a single in the second that brought in the Lady Flashes first run.

Freshman Madelyn Kavanaugh refused to give up any hits early on in the game. She would also get a single in the third followed by a double from Maddy McSherry that added a run. Before the end of the fourth, Presley Brister would earn an RBI to put the score at 5-0.

By the bottom of the fourth, Perniciaro would steal a couple of bases and eventually make it home after a single from Ali G. Luke. Kyleigh Cooper would bring in two more runs after a triple which was followed by another RBI from McSherry as they went up 8-2.

Doubles from Perniciaro, Theriot and McSherry along with a single from Luke forced a run-rule with the final score of 12-2.

The Flashes finished with 15 hits as Theriot went 4 for 4 with three doubles. McSherry brought in four RBIs and two doubles as she went 3 for 4. Perniciaro(1 double) and Luke both went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Kavanaugh also had two hits while Cooper(1 triple and 2 RBIs) and Ruthie Britton also had a hit.
