Lady Vikes defeated Lanier 57-39 on Monday

Warren Central High School girl’s basketball team took down Lanier 57-39 on Monday.

The Lady Vikes quickly went up 21-12 in the first quarter after two 3-pointers by Kayleigh Karel and five points by Zion Harvey which included a 3-pointer.

By halftime, WC extended their lead to 39-26, with Jae’la Smith knocking down some shots.

Smith also carried the Lady Vikes in the second half, finishing with 19 points and named MVP.

Harvey dropped 13 points and Karel finished with 11. Ta’Mya Sims added six points in the win.

WC will play Clinton on Tuesday.
