Warren Central High School girl’s soccer team picked up some wins on Wednesday at Belhaven.

The Lady Vikes defeated Ridgeland 7-0 and VSO 4-0 before tying with Vicksburg High 1-1.

“I feel that the girls did a great job for our first 7v7 tournament of the year,” WC Head Coach Jeremy Lawrence said. “They started our first game a little slow and I didn’t feel like we were connecting as a team. After our game with Vicksburg we regrouped and talked about the mistakes we made and came back started clicking. Playing VSO was tough because it put some of my girls against each other as some of the warren central girls played with the VSO team. I was happy over all with their performances and I am just happy I could watch as many of my players play as I did.”

The Lady Vikes ended last season without making the playoffs but they are continuing to look better and improving those summer to prepare for the fall.
