Lady Vikes take a tough loss to Richland on Tuesday

Warren Central High School’s softball team battled Richland in a tough match on Tuesday and eventually came up short in a 5-4 loss.

The Lady Vikes struggled to get on the board early in the game but captured a productive fourth inning that brought the team back to life.

Abby Morgan and Annalyn Nevels were both on the mound for the Vikings as they combined for four strikeouts and each allowed four hits apiece.

Jenn Smith went 2 for 3 at the plate with on RBI while teammates Morgan and Kayleigh Karel also finished with one RBI.

Kamryn Morson, Sarah Cameron Fancher and Nevels also collected a hit.

WC will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Franklin County.
