Lady Vikes win their district opener over Pearl

Warren Central girl’s basketball team came out on top in their district opener against Pearl on Friday in a 46-33 win.

Jae’la Smith paved the way in the victory by scoring 22 points on the night. Smith and Zy Segrest both helped defensively by grabbing eight rebounds apiece.

Segrest and Ta’Mya Sims each added seven points as well.

WC now have a 13-7 record and will host Terry on Jan. 14.
