Lady Vikes won the JPS Invitational; Boys finished in fourth place

Warren Central High School track & field team participated in the Jackson Public School Invitational. The Lady Vikes came in first place and the boys finished in fourth.

Lady Vikes:

Adria Burrell-1st place in the 100m(12.46), 2nd place in 400m(1:02.70) 2nd place in the 200m(27.08).

Karyn Henderson-1st place in high jump(4’9) and forth place in 100m

Mere Smith- fourth place in 100m hurdles(18.19) and third place in 300m hurdles(51.84).

Kylie Hearn-1st place 800m(1:53.26) and second place in 1600m(6:34.82).

Abigail DeJesus-second place in the 3200m(15:11.65).

Arrionna Jenkins-1st place in the shot put(34’5) and second place in discus(84’2).

Amiyah Montgomery-third place in the long jump(14’10).

Mariah Burnett-2nd place shot put(30’9).

The Lady Vikes came in first place in the 4×800 meter relay and third place in the 4×200 meter relay.

Boys:

Dwight Palmer-third place 200m(23.06).

Chester Savage-fourth place 300m hurdles(43.85).

Gavin Davenport-first place in discus(122’7).

Jonathan Henderson-first place in high jump(6’4).

Ricky Neal-third place in both the long jump(20’2) and triple jump(43’2).

Palmer, Neal, Garrett Fisher and Zack Evans all came in second place in the 4×100 meter relay.

WC is coached by Heather Casey(girls) and Corey Wilson(boys).
