Laiken Leist gets big buck

Laiken Leist loves everything about hunting.

The 14-year-old daughter of Billy and Stephanie Leist also enjoys telling stories about hunting.

“It’s so much fun listening to Laiken’s stories,” her mother said. “I get a play by play of her seeing the deer, getting ready for the shot, the shot, the deer dropping and then finding the deer. She was even pumped up about how warm her new hunting boots are!”

The teen got an eight-point buck while hunting with her father and grandfather, Chuck Schneider, in Edwards Saturday.

She is one of three cousins who had good luck this weekend.  The others are OE Sevier and Nick Lee.
