Large amounts of meth and cash seized during traffic stop
Authorities in Louisiana seized a large quantity of drugs and cash during a traffic stop Monday morning.
Just before 10 a.m., Louisiana State Troopers made a traffic stop on a Kia Sportage traveling east on Interstate 20 between Tallulah and Monroe. During the traffic stop, troopers became suspicious of criminal activity. After consent to search was granted, troopers were able to locate and seize approximately 30 kilograms of suspected crystal meth, and approximately 6,000.00 cash.
Louisiana State Troopers say they will continue to provide the citizens of Louisiana with a safer community through proactive drug related enforcement and cooperative efforts with local and federal law enforcement agencies. Troopers will target local and multi-state drug trafficking organizations by enforcing all state and federal laws governing the illicit manufacturing, distribution, sale, and use of drugs.
