Lawson named Warren Central girls track and field Most Valuable Runner

Warren Central High School track and field athlete Alex Lawson won the Most Valuable Runner Award on the Lady Vikes team.

Lawson was given the award at Friday’s athletic banquet where she was surrounded by her teammates who also won multiple awards.

Not only was Lawson was the Most Valuable Runner, but she also won the best long sprinter award and was a captain of the cheerleading team.

Lawson was well-coached by Heather Casey this season, where she showed her hard work and school spirit in every program that she was involved in.
