Leila Marie Nevels, 1944 – 2022

Leila Marie Nevels passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Merit Health River Region Medical after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Nevels; her daughter, Susan Cain; her two stepsons, Michael Nevels and Ricky Nevels; two brothers, Elam Rusk and Art Rusk, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

She was loved and will be missed by so many. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 13 from 9 AM until 10 AM at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.

A graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benji Thomas, Marshall Thomas, Mike Craft, Delvin Rowell, David Crist, and Michael Nevels.
