Leroy Early

The missing Vicksburg man, Leroy Early, 53, has been found.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones contacted Warren County FireBoss Jerry Briggs and requested that their two agencies work together to search for Mr. Early, who had been missing since Saturday.

Briggs, along with several Warren County firefighters, assembled with Chief Jones, Chief Hill, and Chief Bryant at a location on Sky Farm to organize the search. John Elfer with Emergency Management, along with 911 Executive Director Bobby Rufus, were also assembled to lend their expertise to the effort.

A team mapped out the search area while a small group began a cursory search of the area where Mr. Early was last seen. The forward team located the body of Mr. Early soon after beginning the search.

Family members were near the area and were informed by Chief Penny Jones that Mr. Early had been found deceased.
