The Warren County-Vicksburg Public Library will be hosting a large-screen viewing of an ocean documentary series this weekend.

The critically acclaimed underwater documentary will be featured as a part of the library’s summer program. This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities.” The goal of this program is to encourage enjoyment through learning about the planet’s vast ocean life.

As always, this is a free public event open to individuals who are looking for a laid back, educational way to start their day. Families with children are encouraged to attend and will be treated to popcorn and drinks. The library has been committed to educating locals about sea creatures and ocean life this summer through a series of fun facts and book suggestions. One can discover interesting ocean themed information throughout the library as well as on their facebook page.

The on-screen event begins Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. and will last until 11 a.m. If locals are looking for a way to beat the heat and get involved with the community, this is a good family friendly option.
