John C. Hatton, Jr., affectionately known as Mr. John to those at Lifting Lives Family Shelter, passed away from a heart attack on Christmas Eve.  He was 62 years old.

Lifting Lives Ministries announced his passing on social media, saying:

John Hatton is well known as the guy with the big smile and hospitable voice welcoming you when entering the thrift store. Everyone loved John: family, customers, employees, volunteers, and the children at the family shelter. At work, John was easy-going, and at the family shelter, the children of many families adored Mr. John.

Lifting Lives and St. Andrew’s have lost a good man, client, and valuable team member. John will be greatly missed.
