About Linda E. Hicks

Linda E. Hicks dedicated her life to the Lord, her family and her education. Her passion for knowledge and lifting up those around her was evidenced by a 32-year career as an educator in Mississippi public schools. Although Linda was called home in 2013, her legacy lives on and she continues to make a difference in the lives of Mississippi students to this day through the scholarship fund created in her memory.

The Linda E. Hicks Scholarship Award Program was originally established in 2014 to provide educational opportunities to participants in the 2014 Apple of My Eye Girls Conference, for their academic achievements.

The Scholarship provided a one-time award of $1,000 payable to the recipient to assist with their tuition, registration or other fees, books, or items necessary for the school room and board.
