A 15-year-old is in need of funds to help pay for open-heart surgery.

Here is Desiree Seaton’s story:
My name is Cassandra Busby and this is my daughter, Desiree Seaton’s story:

Desiree was unexpectedly born with a large hole between the bottom two chambers of her heart, called VSD. She underwent months of testing up until she was 15-months-old. Doctors reassured her parents that the heart was correcting itself and cleared her from cardiac interventions.

Today, Desiree is 15 and has learned that she must undergo open heart surgery to repair the hole which has now mutated into a muscle mass, blocking blood flow and weakening the heart.
She has insurance through her mother’s employer however it only pays 80% and has a $3,000 deductible that must be paid in advance along with 20% of the surgery fees. Doctors are wanting to perform the surgery as soon as possible because the right side of the heart is working so hard due to the blockage on the left side.
If you can spare anything to help us get this surgery done as soon as possible we will be eternally grateful. No amount is to small. This surgery is our only alternative.
