Local Mississippi band, Via Novus, starting to gain the spotlight

Instead of rocking stages at events and cities around the South, in recent weeks, Via Novus has hosted multiple live-stream performances.
The group is a alternative metal band whose four members come from Mississippi. Each member brings their fair share of talent to the table.
The band is comprised of vocalist Clinton Davis of Hattiesburg, Guitarist Michael Bishop of Quitman, bassist Jae Murphy of Meridian and drummer Blake Carroll of Vicksburg.
At their shows, the group performs with high energy with the melodic vocals of the 1980s and 1990s, and the heavy instrumentals of modern metal.
Since the COVID-19 crisis, the band has provided their fans with live music via the internet, as they stream their performances to keep their fans entertained.
Via Novus formed in 2017 with Bishop, Murphy and Davis, after performing as members of a separate band. After great performances across the U.S., they quickly gained momentum and became a permanent group.
In March 2020, Via Nova introduced Blake Carroll, their new drummer, who became the fourth member.
The band has successfully performed in places such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Birmingham, Ala., Pensacola, Fla., Memphis, Tenn., and many more. They recently signed with Voodoo Queen Management out of Missouri.
