Local resident carjacked early Wednesday morning. Vehicle recovered.
A local resident found themselves the victim of a carjacking just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Around 12:45 a.m., Vicksburg Police Department was alerted a report of a car jacking on Lake Hill Drive.
According to initial reports, the suspect was armed and stole the victim’s 2018 black Chevy Malibu. The suspect was described as a Black male with dreadlocks, wearing a white jacket and black shirt.
Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones informed the Vicksburg Daily News the vehicle was recovered, undamaged, just a few streets away from the scene. Jones also stated at this time there are no suspects.
