Locke’s star is on the rise

Vicksburg native Katie Ann Locke performed “God Bless America” and the National Anthem at the Crosley Brands ARCA Menards East Series Music City 200 on Saturday, May 8th, in Nashville, TN.

Katie, an aspiring singer-songwriter in Nashville, is a Vicksburg native and 2013 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy. She is the daughter of Chris & Mitzi Busby of Vicksburg and Leonard Locke, Jr. of Batesville.

Katie was also recently named a top 15 finalist in the Mississippi Songwriter of the Year competition. She will compete for the title on Saturday, June 19, at the MAX in Meridian, MS.

Beginning this Wednesday, you can show your support for Katie by voting for her at the Mississippi Songwriter of the Year Awards website.
