Logging accident has Oak Ridge Road blocked

An incident with some logging equipment has Oak Ridge Road blocked.

Traffic is being diverted at Henry Lane on the north end just before the YMCA, south of the incident.

Just before 9 a.m. Vicksburg Warren 911 received a call of an industrial accident with a possible electrocution. Upon arrival, Warren County Sheriff’s Sgt. Silento McMorris notified 911 that the operator was alert and talking but was trapped due to the power lines being over the piece of equipment.

Vicksburg and Warren County Fire Fighters continued their response as a precautionary measure. Entergy is on scene and has killed the power. It is unclear at this time how long the road will be closed as a power pole has been damaged.
