Lorrayne Marie Bradley Cox, 1940 – 2020
Lorrayne Marie Bradley Cox left this earth to be with her heavenly father on Sept. 15, 2020. She would have been 81 on Sept. 18.
Lorrayne was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Cox, and her parents, Arthur and Doris Bradley. She is survived by one brother, Jerry Bradley (Juanita); her four children Gary Cox (Debbie), Cindy Black (Ronnie), Pam Lee (Tim) and Kayla Drew (Mike); five grandchildren Cody Black, Tyler Lee, Daniel Lee (Jessica), Kara Drew and Davis Drew; and two great grandchildren Wyatt and Macie Lee
To many she will always be remembered as “Cox.” She owned and operated a private home day care for 30 years where she loved the children as her own. She was faithful and loving to her family, friends and her day care family.
For the last 49 years Lorrayne remained a faithful member of the Crossway Church (formerly Bowmar Baptist) where she served, supported and participated in many different areas. The last few years the Vicksburg Senior Citizen Center and its participants cared and supported her.
Her funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 18, at Glenwood Funeral Home. T. J. Tennison and Bryan “Moose” Tribble will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services following. The interment will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Lee, Ronnie Black, Mike Drew, Cody Black, Daniel Lee, Tyler Lee and Davis Drew.
While flowers are welcomed, the family said donations to her church, Crossway, to Gideon International or the Vicksburg Senior Citizen Center would be appreciated.
