Luke looks forward to success in the 2023 softball season

St. Aloysius softball player Ali Grace Luke has her eyes set on her upcoming junior year, where winning is on everyone’s mind.
The Lady Flashes were one game shy of making the playoffs in 2022, but Luke is helping St. Al prepare for a different outcome in 2023.
“We’re going to play hard and play as a team, and I know last year we faced difficulties, but I feel like with our new additions to the team along with our new coach, I’m confident that we’ll excel to where we need to be,” Luke said.
Last season, Luke finished with a .354 batting average, 17 hits, 12 RBIs, and an .818 fielding percentage as a sophomore. Over the years, she has used those closest to her as her motivation.
“My family has always had my back, and my friends have all supported me, but I really want to make an impact on the younger kids before I graduate,” Luke added.
Luke will be under the leadership of Mike Foley, whom she feels has what it takes to lead the Lady Flashes.
“We are where we wanted to be, and I feel like with this new staff, we’ll be able to go farther than we’ve ever been,” Luke said.
St. Al will begin their season in early August.
