Lumpkin scored 12 points for the Gators Saturday

Vicksburg High School basketball player Anthony Lumpkin Jr. led the Gators in points Saturday in a 62-54 loss to Forrest Hill High School.

The game was played without any fans in the stands due to COVID-19 restrictions. Lumpkin scored 12 points, and played great in the tough match even though the Gators couldn’t pull off the victory.

Lumpkin transferred from Warren Central High School this year and seems to be settling in well with the Gators who now have a 6-4 record.

The Gators travel to Jackson Monday to face Murrah High School at 2:30 p.m.
