VICKSBURG, Miss. – Maddox Lynch now holds the Warren Central High School receiving yards record. On Friday, Lynch became the record holder after catching three passes for 62 receiving yards putting him at a total of 1,340 career receiving yards.

“It’s an honor to have this but it’s all because of God,” Lynch said. “This was a goal but I’m focused on winning a state championship so we’re going to continue to play dominate football.”

In the 43-0 win over Saltillo, Lynch caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Nash Morgan which also marked his 100th career receptions. He now has 102 career receptions which is the most in the program’s history as well.

Before Maddox broke the receiving yards record it was held by VDN’s first Player of the Year, Demond Patton(1,327) who played in 2019.

Last week Lynch committed to playing football at Central Arkansas University. On Friday, he will lead WC out onto the field where they will host South Panola High School in the second round of the playoffs.
