Madison named as VDN’s Boy’s Soccer Player of the Year

After an outstanding senior season at St. Aloysius where he led Warren County in goals, Cooper Madison has been named as the Vicksburg Daily News Boy’s Soccer Player of the Year.
Transferring from Warren Central in his sophomore year, Madison quickly made a name for himself with the Flashes after installing the skill he learned as a kid.
“I’ve been playing soccer pretty much my whole life and I’m just happy now that I got the chance to prove myself,” Madison said.
Madison helped the Flashes clinch a playoff spot in his senior season where he led Warren County with 31 goals, while being coached by his father Jay Madison.
Each year Madison improved his skills on the soccer field and finished his high school career with a total of 74 goals on the varsity level which led to him receiving an athletic scholarship to Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Madison, son of Jay and Laura Madison, will soon be playing on the collegiate level after graduation, witnessing all of his hard work paying off.
“I just want to thank my parents and teammates for being with me through all my years of playing,” Madison said.
Madison is the first athlete to be awarded the VDN Boy’s Soccer Player of the Year.
