Madison High School boy’s basketball team took down Delhi Charter 59-41 on Monday night.
“I feel we played good but we still got some stuff we need to work on but on the defensive end we just got to get more aggressive,” Jeremiah Marshall said.
The Jaguars went up 13-4 in the first quarter after Jeremiah Marshall and K.Jackson both hit a 3-pointers.
The Gators narrowed Madison’s lead to 28-26 after M.Dunn and Fortenberry both knocked down shots. Marshall had a nasty block and dunk shortly before halftime.
The Jaguars came out hot after halftime as A.White dropped 10 points in the third quarter alone as MHS went up 48-32.
The Jaguars maintained their double-digit lead throughout the rest of the night and finished with the big win.
White led the Jaguars with 16 points and Marshall finished with 14 in the victory. Jackson put up 12 on the board while J.Larry added six. B. Vaughn scored five on the night and J. Williams scored four and M.Thomas finished with two points.
For the Gators, Dunn scored 10 points and Davis added seven. Lee put up six points while Fortenberry and Williams scored five points.
