Magee Police Chief Ricky Davidson dies

MAGEE, MS (WLBT)- Magee Police Chief Ricky Davidson has died. Simpson County Coroner Terry Tutor says Chief Davidson collapsed at his home during a family barbecue Saturday evening. The 61-year-old suffered a massive heart attack. Davidson was pronounced dead at the Magee Hospital just before 7:30 p.m. The coroner, who told WLBT that Davidson is also his cousin, says the chief had just celebrated a birthday in January and was looking forward to retirement.
