Malcolm Butler football camp to be held virtually
The sixth annual Malcolm Butler football camp will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
Butler is a former Vicksburg High standout who now plays for the Tennessee Titans. He will interact with players online as they complete the workouts.
The camp will be held July 18 and registration is open now. Up to 150 athletes will be accepted. Parents interested in signing up their kids should visit malcombutlerfootballcamp.org.
Admission for the camp is free and is open to children from first through 12th grades. First through sixth grades will start at noon, and seventh through 12th grade will start at 1:30 p.m.
Butler is a 2009 graduate of VHS where he played under then head coach Alonzo Stevens. He led the Gators to a 9-3 season in 2008.
Butler entered the NFL in 2014 and is heading into his seventh season. He started off playing for the New England Patriots where he helped the team to two Super Bowl Championships. He signed with the Titans in 2018.
