Man allegedly flashes gun at young couple with 2-year-old in the backseat after road rage incident

At about 1:10 p.m., a road rage incident led to one person being arrested after flashing a gun at a mother and father with their 2-year-old in the back seat.
The as-yet unidentified man ran from police after they were able to stop him on Halls Ferry just north of its intersection with Pemberton.
The incident began when the young couple was traveling north on Highway 61 South. According to the driver of the black pickup, the Altima in front of them stopped suddenly to pick someone up walking on the side of the road. The black pickup truck was towing a trailer with a vehicle on it and was unable to stop in time causing it to swerve to the right and pass the stopped vehicle on the grass just beyond the shoulder of the road.
The brown Altima then chased after the black pickup, at some point brandishing a weapon. The passenger of the pickup called 911 and several police units began to race to the area.
The passenger was able to give constant updates to 911 and the police were able to stop the Altima on Halls Ferry just north of its intersection with Pemberton. A person in the Altima took off running from police, heading south on Halls Ferry with two PD officers in close foot pursuit.
The suspect ran across Pemberton and onto the lot of the Circle K where a police officer was able to apprehend the suspect.
