A man has alleged that his truck was carjacked and he was left naked in a field in Bovina.

“Just before 11 o’clock, Vicksburg Warren 911 received a call from a citizen in the 1200 block of Tiffentown Road stating that a man was on his porch asking for help. The individual was not wearing any clothes. Deputies on the scene contacted this individual and he stated that an individual he knows had gotten in the vehicle with him along with a friend he did not know” explained Sheriff Martin Pace. The friend he did not know, “Pulled a gun on him and ordered him out of his vehicle and ordered him to take his clothes off.”

The victim stated he had picked up his friend on Smallwood, just off of Hwy 80 in Warren County.

At about 1:30 p.m. Sergeant Stacy Rollison spotted the vehicle, a 2011 GMC pickup, on Hwy 80 near Cumberland Road. “She attempted to initiate a stop and the individual did not pull over for her lights and siren. Stayed on Hwy 80 into Hinds County and into Edwards. As they entered Hinds County Edwards Police Department took the lead. The individual jumped out of the vehicle and ran on foot near a city park in Edwards. He was not apprehended at that time. Hinds County Sheriff’s deputies and Edwards PD were there to assist,” stated Sheriff Pace. “Warren County Investigators are still working the case. The victim knew one of the individuals and stated to us that he did not know the other individual.”

The incident is being investigated by the Warren County Sheriff’s Investigators and the Vicksburg Daily News will update the story once the Sheriff is ready to release more information on the incident.
