Man Arrested for ‘Wax’ Possession

Vicksburg police arrested a man for possession of a controlled substance Friday. Shaquille Marquis Ricks, 27, of 4824 Gibson Road, was vaping “wax.”

Wax, Dab, Shatter and Budder are all street names for a concentrated form of cannabis. It is made by combining concentrated THC, the active ingredient of marijuana that gets you high, with other substances to make a liquid smoked in e-cigarettes. 

While vaping is a legal form of marijuana use in several U.S. states, it is not legal in Mississippi.
