Law enforcement officers arrested Bobby Alton Miller, 33, on Sunday afternoon for receiving stolen property.

In September 2019,  the Warren County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a 2004 Toyota pick-up truck stolen from a deer camp in the Redwood area, said Sheriff Martin Pace. Yesterday, Feb. 16, the owner of the truck spotted what he believed to be his vehicle on U.S. Highway 61 South.

Sheriff’s deputies and officers with the Vicksburg Police Department stopped the truck near the 61 South, Dana Road intersection. They arrested Miller after officers checked the truck’s vehicle identification number.

Miller gave an address on Washaway Road, which is also in the Redwood community.

Sheriff Pace said the vehicle had been painted, but the owner recognized certain characteristics of the truck. He said the investigation is continuing, and charges could be upgraded.

Miller will be arraigned Tuesday in Warren County Justice Court.
