Man robbed at gunpoint in Deluxe Inn parking lot

The Vicksburg Police Department was alerted to a weapons-involved robbery that occurred at the Deluxe Inn on the North Frontage road about 15 minutes before 5 p.m. on Monday.

According to reports, the incident took place in the parking lot outside the inn. An unknown suspect approached a car in the parking lot and robbed the driver at gunpoint.

The initial call described a man with a “Hinds” bag who got into a green older Nissan with three other occupants and fled towards Clay street.

Numerous law enforcement officers converged on the area they suspected the car would be in, but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle.
