Man suffers accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound

A man walked into Merit Health River Region with a gunshot wound on Tuesday.

Early reports indicate the man was getting his shotgun out of his vehicle when the firearm went off.  The man was wounded as a result.

Injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. Deputies are en route to file a report.
