Man wanted for Friday’s gas station shooting in Vicksburg turns himself in

The Vicksburg Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting that occurred Friday, May 22, at the CITGO gas station at 1215 Mission 66.

Xavier Kyle Taylor, 25, of Vicksburg, turned himself in to officers at the Vicksburg Police Department Sunday morning, May 24.

Taylor is charged with one count of drive-by shooting and one count of aggravated assault.

The victim is in stable condition, and his injury was not life-threatening, according to police.

Taylor will appear in Vicksburg Municipal Court Tuesday before Judge Angela Carpenter for his initial appearance.
