Marcus Honer launches Facebook show to enlighten, encourage, and inspire others

Vicksburg resident Marcus Honer is using his new Facebook talk show “Marcus Honer Speaks” to uplift others in challenging life situations.

Honer, who is known for being a great public speaker for many organizations, began the show last year in late December after being declined to speak at many churches. Undeterred, he took it into his own hands and launched “Marcus Honer Speaks” where he is able to connect with people of all ages and walks of life.

“Marcus Honer Speaks” airs via Facebook Live every weeknight, taking on tough subjects in enlightening and entertaining ways. Honer helps his viewers cope with relationship issues, lack of parents in a household, and other common yet often overwhelming challenges.

The engaging and enlightening talk show immediately resonated with viewers and began growing an audience. Honer and his guests offer insightful advice among entertaining and uplifting banter, giving followers inspiration and encouragement from a place of personal experience.

Honer says that the adversities that he faced as a child and those he sees in the community around him are the inspiration for the program.  His life’s mission is to “impact the mind of the world in a positive manner” in everything he does.

Honer has become a mastermind at giving great advice and keeping his followers entertained on social media.

but his talent for expression is also apparent in that he also writes effective poetry that holds much wisdom.

“The poetry that I write is full of wisdom and people can even read it to their kids,” Homer said.

Homer currently has written three poetry books which can be purchased on his website.

Honer gives special thanks to those who have supported him in his goals, such as Mayor George Flaggs Jr. who bought 10 copies of Honer’s book.

Honer has big goals set for himself as he is still in the beginning stages of his show. He hopes to one day have his own television show be called into the radio talk show industry.

“My goals is to grow and reach more people and impact their minds in a positive way,” Honer said.
