Marion Faye Wright, 1963-2023

Marion Faye Wright “Mam” was born on March 29, 1963 to the late Walter Warfield, Sr. and Henrietta Royster in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Marion was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Coniell and Walter Warfield, Sr., as well as her maternal grandparents, William and Millie Strong; father, Walter Warfield, Jr. (Buddy): stepfather, Columbus Royster; two brothers, Edward Wright and Louis Wright, all of Vicksburg, MS; and daughter, Jennifer Wright of Milwaukee, WI.

Marion is survived by: daughter, Natalie (Kit) Sloan of Tulsa, OK: two granddaughters Dajhane Smith of Tulsa, OK, and Janiza Wright of Milwaukee, WI; grandson, Benard Dudley of Milwaukee, WI; mother, Henrietta Royster; three sisters, Earlina Wright, Anita (Terry) Bell, and Yvonne Riley, all of Vicksburg, MS; four brothers, Larry (Rose Mary) Wright and Anthony Wright, both of Vicksburg, MS, Kenneth (Lawanda) Wright of Baton Rouge, LA, and Trevis Royster of Memphis, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Marion Faye Wright on August 12, 2023, 11:00 AM at Zion Travelers Church, 1701 Poplar St, Vicksburg, MS .
