Marleine Linda Nickles: 1950-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Marleine Linda Nickles passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1950 in Neptune, New Jersey. She was passionate about hunting, fishing, gardening, photography and family. She was a member of Triumph Church. She was employed for 25 years and retired from USACE as an editor.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles Ray Nickles, her parents Robert and Teresa Helmka and brother Robert Helmka II.

She is survived by her daughter, Christy Mckay (Mark), son, Robert Rentschler (Kiarah); grandson, Charles Paul Lynn; granddaughter, April Welch (Tristan), great-grandson, Easton Welsch, great granddaughter, Raigen Lynn, sister, Linda Kimball (Gary), brother, Glen Helmka.
