Porter’s Chapel Academy basketball player Brittnee Martin has been named the Most Valuable Player for the Lady Eagles basketball team.

Martin led the Lady Eagles in points and rebounds last season. She was the star player of the team playing under head coach Cookie Johnson, averaging 11.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Throughout the season, Martin shined on the court as the team’s lead scorer, leading her to receive the Most Valuable Player award.

Martin had a season high of 20 points in December against Mt. Salus where she led the Eagles to a 46-31 victory.

The MVP Award was announced on a Facebook live feed on the Porter’s Chapel Academy Facebook earlier this month. COVID-19 prevented the school from having their annual athletic banquet.
