Marvin Jay Marshall passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the age of 81.

Marvin was born on March 31, 1940, the son of J. T. Marshall and Martha Ella Marshall. He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, MS where he attended Culkin Academy. He retired from the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers after 18 years of service.

He was great at fixing anything and enjoyed working in his shop, yard work, working around the house and camping. He was a sweet, strong and gentle soul who loved his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mavis Marie Barnes and Rose Tommy Gardner and one brother, John Arvil Marshall.

He is survived by his precious wife of 59 years, Emma Lee Marshall; daughter, Debbie Marshall; son, Danny Marshall (Mona) and his twin brother, Melvin R. Marshall (Lundy).

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Swillie officiating the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Barnes, Kevin Jones, Terry West, Israel West, and Matthew West.
