Mary Louise Buie, 1955 – 2023

Mary Louise Buie was born May 29, 1955, to Johnnie Louise Gaines and Willie Williams.

Mary grew up in Lorman, MS. She was a great cook, and she loved to entertain.

She was an amazing pipe welder but structure welding was her art. She welded for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie L. Gaines and Willie Williams; eldest son, LeAnthony Brisco, Sr.; eldest daughter, JoAnn Brisco; husband, Elijah Buie, Sr.; and brother, Willie Watson.

She will be remembered by her daughter, LaTisha L. Brisco of Ocean Springs, MS; son, Elijah Buie, Jr., (Chaela) of Clinton, MS; stepdaughter, KenSheda Buie Brown (Bobby) of Pearl, MS; sisters, Deloris Oliver of Fayette, MS and Stephanie Hills of California; daughter-in-law, Amanda Brisco of Wisconsin; grandchildren, LeAnthony Brisco, Jr., of Biloxi, Jaden Brisco of Wisconsin, Olivia Brisco of Wisconsin, Jimel Thomas of Ocean Springs, MS, and Jimisha Thomas of Ocean Springs, MS. Nieces Jessica King of Fayette Ms. Cierra Chambliss of Fayette MS, Tamika Farr of California, Inglish Hills of California, Emory, Poetic Buie and Aaliyah Edwards of Clinton, Annie Lee Galtney of Lorman MS, Nephews Eric Monroe (Conchita) Marvin Knight, Joshua Short, Johnathan Short all of Fayette MS, Quincy Gaines of California, Terrenell Galtney, Terenell Galtney and Clarence Galtney.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mary Louise Buie on April 8, 2023, 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 17831, US-61, Fayette MS .

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS on April 7, 2023 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM with no family present.

Mary Louise Buie transitioned on March 24, 2023 at the age of 67.
