Mayor and Board of Alderman votes to contribute $30,000 to Haven House Family Shelter to help end domestic violence

The City of Vicksburg has approved to contribute $30,000 to the Haven House Family Shelter to provide supportive services to help end domestic abuse in the Vicksburg community.

The decision was made on Monday at the Mayor and Board of Alderman meeting. Mayor George Flaggs, Jr., Northward Alderman Michael Mayfield, Sr. and Southward Alderman Alex Monsour all voted unanimously for the support.

The Haven House is a program that supports victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
