Mayor Flaggs announces he wishes to seek fourth term

During a live Q&A session on Friday, Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. announced he would be seeking a fourth term.
When asked if he would run for office again Flaggs immediately responded, “Yes.”
“I want to see the port become a reality, I want to see M City become a reality, I want to see our education system become more sustainable and I’m going to be voicing my opinion on education a lot more in the future,” said Flaggs.
In June 2021, Flaggs secured the Vicksburg Mayoral position for a third term, making him Vicksburg’s first three-term mayor since John Holland who served from 1957 – 1968.
