Mayor Flaggs requests schools to remain closed on Monday

Mayor George Flaggs Jr. has asked the Vicksburg Warren School District to consider remaining  closed for another day as the city continues to battle water problems in Vicksburg and Warren County.

Flaggs did not order the schools to be closed but only made the request. VWSD is governed by a board, and they are the ones who will make the decision.

Decisions on whether the schools will remain closed on Monday has not been decided yet, and Vicksburg Daily News will provide updates.
