Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. and the Board of Aldermen announce the unveiling of Memorial for Fallen Firefighters June 7

The Vicksburg Fire Department will commemorate the lives and service of three esteemed firefighters: Lieutenant/Paramedic Drue A. Randolph, Firefighter/Paramedic Jarod K. Squire, and Firefighter/EMT Derico L. Davis.

The unveiling ceremony is set to take place Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Vicksburg Fire Department, 1630 Walnut Street at 2:00pm.

The unveiling is open to the public.

Mayor Flaggs expresses that the unveiling of this memorial stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to honoring and preserving the legacies of these individuals. The ceremony will provide an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and reflection.

Fire Chief Derrick Stamps says that the memorial will pay tribute to the lives and service of three individuals who served as firefighters in the Vicksburg Fire Department and also serve as a lasting reminder to their dedication to service and their unwavering commitment to our community.
